On August 27th, 2018, the staffs of SIP Lvse Jiangnan Public Environment Concerned Centre (hereinafter referred to as “PECC”) found the unorganized waste gas of Danyang Yunsheng Auto Parts Factory near Kangjia Village, Houxiang Town, Danyang City, with the billowing smoke and the blacken wall at the scene. Our staffs then reported the information to Zhenjiang Environmental Protection Bureau and Danyang Environmental Protection Bureau on Weibo.

On September 7th, 2018, Zhenjiang Environmental Protection Bureau replied on Weibo: “The company you reflect is Danyang Yunsheng Auto Parts Factory. The factory is mainly engaged in the production and processing of auto parts, and has no related procedures for environmental protection. The main production process of the factory is: spraying→drying→finished product. The spraying section has built a supporting dust collection device, but the drying section and the straw furnace used for drying have not built supporting treatment facilities for waste gas, and the waste gas generated during production has a certain impact on the surrounding environment. Environmental Protection Office of Danyang Danbei Town requires Danyang Yunsheng Auto Parts Factory to: 1. Stop environmental violations; 2. After the environmental protection procedures are completed, the construction of facilities for pollution prevention and control is in place, and after the on-site verification by the environmental protection department is passed, the production can be started.

On September 10th, 2018, Danyang Environmental Protection Bureau gave an official reply: After verification, the company responded by PECC is Danyang Yunsheng Auto Parts Co., Ltd., located in Kangjia Natural Village, Feida Village, Danbei Town, Danyang City. The production process is: shot blasting→plastic spraying→drying→finished product; The powder spraying section uses cartridge to absorb dust, and the drying section uses straw furnace to heat up, using straw pellets as fuel. The outer wall on the north side of the plant is heated up by burning straw pellets, and the soot from burning causes the outer wall to be black. At present, the company has been seized by the “263” office of the Danbei town government and has implemented a power outage to stop production. On-site inspection found that the company did not build supporting treatment facilities for waste gas of straw combustion and drying waste gas. On-site verification found that the company did not build supporting treatment facilities for waste gas of straw combustion and drying waste gas. In this regard, our bureau orders the company to: 1. Immediately stop illegal activities; 2. Go through approval procedures for environmental protection in accordance with the law; 3. Do not resume production without verification by the environmental protection department. Our bureau will work with the Environmental Protection Institute of Danbei Town to do a good job in the follow-up treatment and supervision of issues related to this company.
